A comfort basket can’t fix everything. But it can help someone breathe for a minute. We donate these baskets directly to hospitals so families can receive support right when they need it most.

What is Hugs in a Basket?

Hugs in a Basket is one of the ways we keep Bree’s love moving through our community. We assemble thoughtful comfort baskets and donate them directly to hospital partners, so families facing heavy moments receive something practical, encouraging, and human.

What’s Inside a Basket

Every basket is built with care and tailored when we can. Contents vary based on season and need, but usually include:

Comfort + Cozy

  • Blanket or cozy throw

  • Socks or comfort item

  • Small “take a breath” essentials

Care + Practical

  • Hygiene/self-care basics

  • Helpful everyday items

  • Sometimes a gift card (when available)

Encouragement + Joy

  • Handwritten note

  • A little something uplifting

  • A reminder they’re not alone

Kid + Family Friendly

  • Kid item or activity (when applicable)

  • Snacks or family-friendly add-ins

  • Seasonal touches (when available)
