Carrying Bree’s Light Forward—One Life at a Time

Welcome to Bree’s Legacy — where love leads, kindness matters, and one beautiful girl’s light still shines bright.

Inspired by the heart and spirit of Breanna Leigh Chadwick, we’re on a mission to turn tragedy into impact. Bree lived big — with compassion, courage, and a passion for helping others. Now, we honor her by doing the same.

We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to what Bree cared most about:
-
Organ donation awareness
-
Lifting up kids and families facing hardship
-
Spreading love in our community, especially to those who feel forgotten

From groceries and warm clothes to transportation, school supplies, and temporary shelter — we step in when people need a hand and hope feels far away. Whether it’s sponsoring a classroom, gifting a favorite Dr. Seuss book to a child, or helping a family through a tough season — we believe in meeting needs with heart and humility.

We also support teachers and students through scholarships and classroom grants — because Bree believed in bright futures and bigger dreams.

Every act of kindness we share is another page in Bree’s story — and you’re invited to help us write the next chapter.

Because when we show up for others, Bree shows up through us

Take a look around. Join a project. Share her story.
Let’s keep Bree’s legacy alive — and let love lead the way.

Who is Breanna?
Breanna Leigh Chadwick—“Bree” to most—wasn’t just a beautiful name. She was a radiant light, a bold spirit, and a fiercely loyal soul who made a lasting impression on every person lucky enough to know her. Born (or as we like to call it sunset) on January 26, 2002, Bree had a spark that couldn’t be taught and a heart that loved deeply.

From a young age, Bree was a mix of sweetness and sass. She had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that made you feel like everything was going to be okay. She was witty, sharp, and honest in the most refreshing way. Bree didn’t just walk into a room—she owned it, not with arrogance, but with a quiet confidence and charm that drew people in.

She was a natural athlete—softball, basketball, lacrosse—Bree did it all. But it wasn’t just her talent that stood out. It was how she played: with heart, humility, and relentless support for her teammates. She cheered loud, played hard, and showed up for others—on and off the field.

Bree's family and friends were the core of her world. Her bond with her younger sister, Kirstin, was something rare—equal parts best friends, partners in crime, and each other’s safe place. And her faith in God was the compass she lived by. She didn’t just talk about grace—she lived it, even in moments of heartache and loss.

After high school, Bree leaned into the things she loved most: sunshine, wagon rides, backroad adventures, and nights around the fire with her favorite people. She was just as comfortable in cowboy boots as she was in mascara and designer jeans. She was equal parts country girl and polished queen—and somehow, she made it all look effortless.

Children adored her. Animals followed her. Strangers became friends in minutes. Bree had that rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. She gave second chances freely, but she also knew when to love people from a distance. Her wisdom, even at a young age, was nothing short of remarkable.

On July 8, 2022, Bree’s vibrant life was cut tragically short. But even in her final moments, she gave all she had—literally. At just 15, she had signed up to be an organ donor. That decision would go on to save eight lives. Her heart, her kidneys, her liver, pancreas, and more—all gave others a second chance at life.

Bree’s heart now beats in Renee Wheat, a woman who was preparing to say goodbye to her family just days before the transplant. Bree’s other organs brought hope to recipients across Tennessee and Indiana—including a mother and grandmother now able to create more memories with her loved ones.

To carry forward her legacy, Bree’s family created Bree’s Legacy, a foundation that reflects the way she lived: full of compassion, generosity, and joy. Today, Bree’s Legacy supports children in sports, helps families in need—especially around the holidays, Bree’s favorite time of year.

Bree may no longer be here physically, but her story continues. Her kindness echoes. Her impact lives on. And through the foundation that bears her name, she’s still changing lives—just like she always did.

"Life's too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it."
Dr. Seuss
