When McKinley was only nine years old, her best friend, Abigail, passed away from a brain tumor. To honor Abigail's memory forever, McKinley decided to get a tattoo on her 18th birthday. Following the passing of Breanna, McKinley sought a way to memorialize their bond. She decided on getting a special tattoo, originally expecting it to feature leaves and vines. However, once she looked into it further, she opted for a sunflower that represented the friendship they shared. Seeing the tattoo on her same arm as Abigail's tribute brings wonderful memories and serves as an inspiring reminder for her to make the most out of life.
